Is the incredible person you are on the outside, reflected on the inside? When looking at a fine garment from the outside, we see all the beauty and artistry of the design. However, the strength and true majesty of the garment comes from each fine thread interwoven underneath with all the diverse colors and individual patterns working together seamlessly to unveil its beauty. 

The Bible says in 1 Peter 3:3a-4 that we should not let our adorning be merely outward, but rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

As women, though we may vary in age, have differing gifts, individual callings, and a variety of things that we are passionate about, the selfsame Lord and Spirit works through us all. Each one of us, a finely woven thread, makes up the garment of sisterhood by uniting and giving to one another what the Lord has so graciously supplied to each one of us individually. Without you, that one fine thread, we will never know how glorious that garment can be. Nevertheless, with you, we get to see the glorious work the Lord is doing and how our lives truly intertwine as all the diverse colors, styles, and personas create a pattern that is precious in the sight of the Lord.   

Fine Threads is a fellowship for women by women of all ages (from 18 to eternity) where we all lean on His grace, His mercy and His goodness for the common goal of growing spiritually in ways that are centric to all of our lives. We all need Jesus, His guidance and share a common bond called the unity of the Spirit. Fine Threads is a place where we can all come together, learn and experience growth in our lives through the eye of faith, triumph and trial –

à         Sometimes it is the older women sharing their experiences with the younger women to encourage and help them grow in His grace as stated in Titus 2:3-4.

à         Sometimes the Lord speaks through the trials of life and gives the insight that we need to move forward in the face of great trepidation (Esther 5:1 – 8:17)

à         Sometimes it is the words of a crying heart and empty vessel that the Lord fills or heals in our presence or as a result of our sharing (book of Ruth)

à         Sometimes it is simply the tender heart and words of a young woman that gives us the inspiration needed to strengthen us all (Phoebe in Romans 16:1-2)

à         Sometimes it is the quietness and tranquility of just being in His presence together that allows our hearts to grow fonder (Mary in Luke 2:18-19)

Whatever the Lord wills, however He chooses to move, is a benefit to us all – young and seasoned.  In the kingdom, there is no you, there is no me; there is no young woman and there is no old woman; there is just us, firmly knitted together in the common bond of holiness as we supply each other with what each has received and learned of Him. Individually, we are but one fine thread, yet when woven together we create a pattern that is precious in His sight and a bond that allows us collectively to tap into His divine nature and gain strength. Fine Threads is a fellowship of sisters who love the Lord, will love you and who deal with real life issues, in a Kingdom way.
